Love God, Love One Another, Reach the World

Love One Another

The Second Greatest Command is to 'Love One Another." Have you ever been to a church where no one knew your name? When you weren't able to make it, were you missed? Did the church even know you weren't there? How about time when times were hard? Was the church there to help? It should have been. When you needed to talk to a pastor, did he know who you were?

We're not perfect, but at Pleasant Valley Church, we strive to live out the second greatest commandment on a regular basis. One of the wonderful realities of Pleasant Valley Church is that we will know your name! This allows us to care for you and your family in greater ways. We pray for one another, we encourage one another, and when needed, we help one another.

We would love to have you get connected at Pleasant Valley Church. We have something for everyone. Everything we do here is centered around three things: loving God, loving others, and reaching the world. Check out all our activities listed or jump right to the ministry you're looking for with the buttons below.

SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES (First Hour)

We offer classes for children at 9:15 a.m. every Sunday morning. Children are taught about God by one of our hard working, childcare approved volunteers. The curriculum that we utilize is called The Gospel Project. For more information about this curriculum you can visit the Gospel Project Website.

FAMILY WORSHIP

One thing we feel is unique at Pleasant Valley Church is that we encourage children, 1st grade and older, to join us in our Worship Service. We believe that this is a great opportunity for parents and children to worship together and it can open conversations about what is being taught and practiced.

CORPORATE WORSHIP TIME (Second Hour)

For younger children, we offer childcare during our Worship Service. This is for babies at least six weeks old all the way to kindergarten. All of our childcare volunteers have gone through an application and approval process, so you know you are leaving your child in safe hands.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Our biggest event for children at PVC is Vacation Bible School. Each year, in the summer we offer an action packed, gospel teaching, fun filled week for kids ages 4 through 6th grade. The kids get to make crafts, play games, here biblical teaching, have snack, and sing fun songs! We love having lots of kids come out each year to join in the excitement.

SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES

During the Sunday morning 9:15 hours the youth have Small Groups. This offers our teens a space to build relationships and to explore spiritual questions and answers together. These groups are divided by gender and are led by approved volunteers who have a heart for working with teens. They are a utilizing The Gospel Project. This is a great ministry for students from 7th to 12th grade.

SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES

For adults on Sunday mornings, we offer Sunday morning classes. These classes are designed specifically to help you learn more about God while connecting with others who might be in a similar stage of life.  These classes cover a variety of topics, but they all have a few things in common: they are biblically based, they are designed to help you connect with others, and they are open to anyone who would like to join. So whether you are a seasoned Christian or someone investigating the Christian faith, you're invited.

Keep in mind that we have childcare for the youngest guests and classes for everyone else: preschool, elementary and teens.

DEACON FAMILY MINISTRY

We have a wonderful group of people who are on the 'frontlines' of caring for our people, and these men are our deacons. Together, they are available for every member of the church. They pray for the members, they help during challenging times, they make home and hospital visits and more. When you become a member of Pleasant Valley Church, you have a deacon assigned to you in order to help you become more connected.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT PRAYER

We believe that prayer is at the foundation of everything we do as a church. For this reason, we gather together every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. in Room 005. This is also a time to praise God for what he has done and to lift up our requests to Him.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION

On the third Wednesday of every month, we have our Food Distribution. Through this we are able to provide a resource to get food for those in need in our community through the Cleveland Food Bank. This is a great way to reach out to the community and to serve alongside other people from the church.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Our Women's Ministry meets periodically for breakfasts, bible studies, times of prayer and other things. Additionally, we have our W.O.W. (Women of Worth) Ministry where women can gather together for various activities and Bible studies. Check out our Home Page or Calendar for upcoming activities.

MEN'S MINISTRY

Our Men's Ministry Breakfast happens the first Saturday of every month at 8:00 A.M.
This is great place for men to connect with one another and encourage each other in their walk with Christ.
